Yesterday, I hosted a brunch for some of my best friends. I have known Melissa and Alicia for 25+ years now… since kindergarten!! Crazy to think that we have been such close friends for so long. Melissa and Lee recently had a baby boy (Leo) and since we moved into our new home, we decided that they could come here to see it and we would get the chance to meet the cutest little bug. I have decided I am officially obsessed with all things hosting, Halloween, decorating and hash browns (they are so damn good).
Here’s what was included in my brunch spread:
- My take on an ‘Egg McMuffin’ – English muffin toasted with scrambled egg, bacon and cheddar cheese
- Avocado
- Sliced tomato with olive oil and balsamic reduction (trust me – so good at brunch!)
- Hashbrowns
- Sliced up cheeses
- Sautéed spinach (we have one new mama who is very healthy – not mentioning names! 😉 )
And, because Alicia takes the best pics ever, I asked her to take all of these in addition to the ones below. Here are a few of the living area with the new rug and ottoman.

Mel & Lee make such great parents. He is the most calm, cute and chill baby. Congrats to my best friends!! And, my other best friend Alicia is welcome back anytime to continue taking the best pics ever. 😉
OH – and of course I can’t forget one last pic. My brother! It’s as if the dude has an alarm bell programmed in his head when I make delicious spreads… but I wouldn’t change it for the world!!! 🙂
